Nearly
half of Argentina's 1,068,302 Sq. Miles are covered with natural grasslands
which extend almost uninterruptedly, from the east of the majestic Andean
Mountain Range to the Uruguay River and the Atlantic Coast. The Melting
of the Snow on the high mountain peaks and the large rivers which flow
across the plains create hundreds of streams that irrigate extensive areas
of these vast plains known as the Humid Pampas. But the most important
elements of this privileged ecosystem are its temperate climates with
constant breezes that permanently supply fresh air and an ideal rainfall
distribution. |
